Ballistocardiogram
Solutions
Capturing the subtle vibrations generated
by the human heart to unlock new possibilities in healthcare.
What is Ballistocardiogram (BCG)?
Ballistocardiogram (BCG) is a technology that detects and analyzes the minute vibrations caused by the beating heart, allowing us to estimate the heart’s condition. Despite being non-invasive, it can obtain highly accurate data such as Heart Rate Variability (HRV), making it a promising tool for early diagnosis and risk management. It is also capable of monitoring respiration.
E3’s Ongoing Research and Development
Our company has been conducting research and development on BCG for over 10 years, accumulating academic evidence through collaborations with institutions such as Juntendo University and publishing papers together.
The BCG waveform has shown an extremely high correlation with HRV electrocardiogram data, suggesting significant potential for accurate and real-time cardiac function monitoring.
E3’s years of experience and insights gained through joint research underpin our BCG solutions, ensuring both safety and reliability.
BCG Recorder
“BCG Recorder” is an innovative device that lets you monitor heart rate changes and respiration while you sleep—simply by placing it under your pillow or futon. Because there’s no need to wear anything, and it’s entirely non-invasive, it greatly reduces the burden on users.
We are currently conducting demonstration tests in medical institutions and care facilities in Japan, and we anticipate future applications in home healthcare and preventive care. The greatest feature of the “BCG Recorder” is its ability to accurately capture signals from the heart without disrupting daily life.
